The plantation in Vestmanna, located just above the sports hall, is a beautiful and peaceful spot where everyone can come to relax and find solace.

It was in 1990 that Vestmanna’s “Green Man,” Finnbogi Joensen, together with schoolchildren, began planting trees in the area.

Each child received their own tree to plant and care for, and every year, the green space expanded with more trees. Today, more than 30 years later, the trees have grown significantly, forming a real plantation covering approximately 20,000 square meters.

There are benches and tables so visitors can fully enjoy the space. Within the forest, there’s also a special and cozy cabin available for small events, accommodating around 25 people.
