Guided tour FOR CHILDREN in the exhibition Scherzo – Faroese Contemporary Art
SUMMER EXHIBITION 2026
What does contemporary art mean? Can I touch it? What is that sound? Why is that hanging like that?
We will have an answer for you during our guided children's tour of this year’s summer exhibition, Scherzo – Faroese Contemporary Art. Join your children and give them (and yourself) a closer and engaging insight into Faroese contemporary art.
The exhibition brings together some of the strongest voices: Hansina Iversen, SUPERVISJÓN by Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger and Lasse Jæger, Randi Samsonsen, Jóhan Martin Christiansen, Silja Strøm, Jens Dam Ziska, Dan Helgi Helgason in Gong, and Vár B. Samuelsen.
The works span a wide range of expressions and materials: paintings, printmaking, sculptures, textiles, sound, video, and texts, united by a shared sense of vitality, expressiveness, intensity, and edge.
The tour is best suited for children aged 5 and up. Participation is free and no registration is required. Your guide is Turið Johannessen, visual arts producer at the Nordic House.
Note: This tour is only in Faroese.
